The Manatee Amazon Explorer offers a great means of touring the Ecuador rainforest - the comfort and pampering together with the light adventure was perfect for us.

An Amazon cruise is quite different from any other cruise you can take. We appreciated that a great amount of time is dedicated to visiting the jungle trails, so we had a good amount of walking and canoeing through the forest, spotting wildlife and meeting local families.

The cruise manager Reuben and Raul our guide took great care of us and helped us enjoy a once in a lifetime experience. We found the rooms on the small side but really appreciated having a private bathroom with hot water. The outside deck was our favourite area it had a canopy to protect us from the sun and allowed to enjoy the views from our floating hotel. We also spent time in the  air-conditioned lounge and the library.

The night hike with flashlights was lots of fun, the kids loved it, specially finding plants that glow at night and spotting frogs. The food was superb and in good quantity, they aknowledged my sons allergies. Thank you to the staff at Voyagers for the planning and of the Manatee for giving us a great experience!
