Grand Amazon: Rio Solimões 4 Days

Your adventure begins at the Port of Manaus as you check in and board your vessel, sailing along the Rio Solimões. You will enjoy a magical sunset from the terrace, soft music in the background, while completing the registration for the various excursions that will take place. The Captain will then welcome you with a cocktail at Salão Lua, introduce you to the crew, guide you through the on-board facilities, and walk you through the safety procedures. The evening will conclude with a delicious dinner at Kuarup, the perfect start to your Amazon experience.

You will start your day by enjoying a continental breakfast on the terrace or a full breakfast at the Kuarup restaurant. Birds will be singing, and howler monkeys will add their voices to the soundscape as you leave for Lago Janauacá by motorboat. It is about 45 minutes up the river to arrive at the site of a Caboclo family so that you can learn about their traditions, way of life, and crops. On the way back to the Kuarup, you will have a lecture on Amazon fruits at Salão Lua, and a quick visit to the commander’s bridge before lunch. In the afternoon, you will take another motorboat ride into the Manaquiri area, where you will see local plants and animals, or have the chance to go piranha fishing. After dinner, we will take a night excursion by motorboat into Manaquiri and observe the forest at night.

You will begin the day with breakfast on the terrace or breakfast at the Kuarup restaurant, and will then immerse yourself in the captivating experience of an “Amazon Awakening,” which is a motorboat tour of the Manacapurú region, during which you’ll have the chance to embrace all the sounds and views of the birds and sunrise. You’ll then have the option to continue your explorations with an additional motorboat ride through the streams or a guided walk through the jungle. Later in the day, you’ll have the opportunity to gather for a presentation on “Amazon People and Culture,” or continue to explore the area. After lunch on the terrace or at the Kuarup restaurant, you will again board a motorboat and go to Lago Janauari, which is located outside the reserve in the Manaus region, where you will visit a floating house, see some local crafts, or take a short walk in the area. The evening will be one dedicated to a pagent-style gala dinner at Kuarup Restaurant, followed by an evening folkloric show in Salão Lua where they will immerse you in the culture of the Amazon.

At the end of the last breakfast, you will experience one of the greatest natural wonders of the Amazon, the Meeting of the Waters, where the dark waters of the Rio Negro meet the sandy-colored waters of the Rio Solimões and run side by side without mixing. After the meeting of the waters, you will return to the Port of Manaus to check out and disembark from your cruise of a lifetime in the Amazon.
