You will start your Amazon experience with a check-in at the Port of Manaus, where you will board your vessel and embark on the mighty Rio Negro. As the sun sets on the horizon, you can enjoy the view from our terrace with soft background music while completing your registration for the tours over the next few days. After the registration is complete, you will be welcomed by the Captain with a cocktail at Salão Lua, who will introduce the crew and outline the onboard facilities and safety protocol. After the introduction, dinner will be served at the Kuarup restaurant.
Eat breakfast on the terrace or at Kuarup Restaurant, then prepare for a morning excursion. You can either hike to observe the incredible flora and fauna of the Jaraqui region, or cruise aboard a motorboat through its narrow canals. After getting back on board, listen to a lecture introducing the Amazon; you will also visit the commander’s bridge, have some refreshments with the expedition team, and have lunch to refuel for the afternoon. This afternoon, you will learn all about the interesting Amazon Pink Dolphin at Salão Lua before you cruise in a motorboat to the islands of Três Bocas, part of the second-largest river archipelago in the world. You will have dinner at Kuarup Restaurant this evening.
After breakfast, visit a nearby indigenous community along the Rio Cuieiras to learn about their traditions, way of life, and crafts. Return on board for a lecture on Amazon fish, followed by another visit to the commander’s bridge, and lunch. In the afternoon, pick up your boots again and take a riverboat ride to the Ariaú area to visit a local farm or try your luck in piranha fishing. After dinner, continue the adventure with a night motorboat trip, where you will be treated to a magical view of the rainforest after dark.
Begin your day with an ‘Amazon Awakening’ experience – an early-morning motorboat cruise through the Rio Ariaú area, showcasing the morning birds’ songs, bright dawn colors, and awe of rainforest life that you will remember forever! After our Amazon Awakening experience, we set off on an excursion to see the Amazon pink dolphins and relax on a river beach. Upon returning to the vessel, you will learn about the Amazon birds in a lecture before lunch and afterward, join your expedition team to participate in group activities on the terrace. In the afternoon, you will take a short excursion to the Rubber Tappe Museum to discover the culture and history of the Amazon region. Your evening includes a special dinner in Kuarup restaurant, followed by a folkloric show in Salão Lua.
After your last breakfast on board, get ready for one of the Amazon’s most unforgettable natural experiences: the breathtaking Meeting of the Waters. At this point, the dark waters of the Rio Negro run side by side with the sandy-colored waters of the Solimões River as they travel for many miles without ever mingling! It’s beautiful—a striking visual contrast that represents the mystery and strength of the rain forest. While viewing this marvel of nature, you’ll have a last opportunity for reflection on the stunning beauty and wonder of the Amazon. Soon after, the vessel will return to the Port of Manaus where you will check out and disembark, ending your visit – and experience full of culture, wildlife, and memories that will last long after the rainforest has been left behind.
