Discover the Peruvian Amazon in luxury: New Aqua Nera sailings in 2024

A PERUVIAN ODYSSEY

Explore the beating heart of the Peruvian Amazon aboard the state-of-the-art Aqua Nera. As the newest river ship in the fleet – which was named the World’s Best River Cruise Line by Travel + Leisure this year – Aqua Nera raises the bar for luxury travel in remote and exotic destinations. Guests enjoy the comfort of spacious 300+ sqft suites, each with floor-to-ceiling windows and ensuite bathrooms. To unwind after days of exploration, the vessel features social spaces including a plunge pool, cinema screening room, gym, spa, lounges, and more.

As incredible as Aqua Nera is the destination which it sails. The Peruvian Amazon is home to nearly 1900 species of birds and 500 species of mammals. In fact, nearly one in every five animal species can be found in this rainforest. On twice-daily excursions, Aqua Nera guests will have the opportunity to search for pink dolphins, caimans, and anacondas in the river, and sloths and monkeys up above in the canopies. There will also be opportunities to fish for piranhas, picnic in the Amazonian shade, and embark on birdwatching sessions at dawn.

Given the rapid surge for demand in the Peruvian expeditions, we’re pleased to announce four new seven-night Aqua Nera sailings in February 2024. February has always been a magical time of year in Peru, marked by celebrations such as the Candeleria Festival and the Carnival of Cajamarca. This is the perfect pairing for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure aboard the Aqua Nera. Beyond that, guests may venture on and plan a visit to Machu Picchu at this time of year when it’s not packed with tourists.

Along with its seven-night itineraries, Aqua Nera also offers three- and four-night sailings. Watch the video above to discover more about life on board, and head to our website or contact our Reservations team to make your booking. We look forward to seeing you soon.
